Jingle and Mingle
The Henshaw's coordinate our Family Home Evenings once a month. Sister Henshaw had a wonderful idea for us to give back to "Shoalhaven" - our apartment complex. We had a "Jingle and Mingle" for the the complex. I was asked to bake 3 dozen cookies for the children to ice and eat.
We were to bring a treat to share with everyone. I baked brownies!
I helped the children at the icing table.
We were all so thrilled to have 85 people join us.
The manager of the apartment complex commented to me 3 times,
"This is so great! It is so fun seeing neighbors getting to know each other.
We should do this every week!"
Sister Graham told the story of Savior's birth to the children.
We sang songs together, ate, and got to know each other.
Just before the event began, I was taking a tray full of brownies to the common area. I did not see the tiny step up and fell. I landed hard on my left arm and knee. It has messed up my left shoulder (my good shoulder). However, I saved the brownies! They stayed on the tray covered in the aluminum foil. I had some really good Christmas colors going on.
The Area Office held a Christmas Devotional at a local meetinghouse.
Lunch followed the Area Presidency's devotional
