We have been asked why our blog is called "New ZimZim". Great question!
Our sweet 3 year-old granddaughter could not remember how to say "New Zealand"
In a cute video she said, "Grandma is going to New ZimZim.
It was so cute - It stuck!
Missed out on our cute "Spooks"
Happy Halloween!
We have been asked where do you work?
Area Office Building |
This is our office cubicle area on Level 1
What do you do?
We work closely with School Area Directors and BYUH in facilitating teachers in getting their Teaching Certificate. We work in helping ITEP couples to build teacher capacity.
We have also been asked to help with teacher coaches in the schools, counselors, and Global Education Initiative in the Pacific.
There are 15 schools in the Pacific: Fiji, Kirbati, Samoa, and Tonga.
We have 8 ITEP Couples and 4 TVET couples.
Amazing talents and strengths!
After church on Sunday, we drove past Grandpa Horace Holbrook's home.
Grandpa Horace and Grandma Leona served a mission in New Zealand in 1916-1918.
They brought 4 young children and had a fifth child while here.
Bryce's father, Garn was 4 years old at the time.
It was awe inspiring for me to think Grandpa Horace stood and walked where we were standing
Returning home, I took some pictures of a road completely shaded.
We go through a tunnel as well.
Everywhere we drive there are large cranes in the sky where new buildings are being built.
We also cross the Auckland Bridge
