Life is a bed of roses

After dinner on Tuesday, we went with the Henshaw's to the Dove Myer Robinson Park.
At this time of the year the Rose Garden Park is blooming.
Wow! It was beautiful and smelled so good
The rainbow was not photo shopped.
It had rained off and on all day.

I am unable to post ALL of the pictures I took in the Rose Garden.
Other beautiful flowers in the garden.
As we walked we came across this amazingly huge tree.
We are standing on the inside of the tree

The vegetation in the forests and gardens show plants attaching and living off one another.

There is a lot of construction taking place in New Zealand.
We were walking our few blocks back to our flat and came across these cones!
Needless to say, Bryce was excited to find his name!
He wants to bring a cone home!

These trees are the same type of tree, just different flowers.
We pass them on our way to work.
The Starke's from Oregon came to New Zealand to have their exit interview.
We met and trained the Starke's at the Provo MTC in July 2016 after we returned from Tonga.
We love the Starke's
On Saturday morning we took the Starke's sightseeing in Auckland.
We went to Parnell to the La Cigale outdoor french market.
We ate the most amazing crepes. We purchased some wonderful french pastries 😋
One booth sold organic dog food. The owners dog has her own box.
"Ginger" was so soft and cuddly. When she barked at another dog, it was almost inaudible.

These are some of the wonderful pastries.
The view from the market was the very top of the Sky Tower.
We drove a couple of blocks to the Rose Garden again. It was well worth it!
I think my favorite rose was the "Tequila Sunrise"

Then we went to the Auckland Museum
We saw New Zealand - Maori & War artifacts

Stained glass ceiling on the 3rd floor -

Looking up from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor at the stained glass ceiling.

Eating lunch at a Mexican Restaurant by the Sky Tower
We went to the Sky Tower and rode to the top ~ 60 stories
Auckland Sky line                                                          Bay looking towards Takapuna
Looking at the shipping yard - New Cars                Looking down at the street from above
Framers Department is preparing for their Christmas Parade.
This a huge Santa ground level
We are waiting and watching for a sky jumper to come down. Caught someone coming down!
There is also a cat walk people can pay to walk around on the 51st level.
We are looking down through the glass.

We crossed over the bridge to our Takapuna/Devonport side.

We are at the top of Mt. Victoria looking back at the Sky Tower to end our day.

The Sky Tower gift shop was a very reasonable gift shop.
We purchased New Zealand pillow covers. Bryce is putting them on our pillows.
