It was a 4 day weekend for Good Friday and Easter.
We went down to Hamilton
We visited the Temple and the Museum
On Friday we went to Hamilton Gardens!
They were amazing - we need to visit them in the Spring -
when all of the flowers are blooming!
This picture of Christ is in the Museum!
We love it!
On the way to the Gardens this woman crossed the road in front of us.

Large majestic trees - the white tree is a Eucalyptus Tree
Inside a building was this amazing wood carving.
It was done in three pieces.
In each piece one could play "I Spy" with
various animals, critters, objects, fairies, pixies, etc.

How about Poinsettia's year round :)
There was a cactus greenhouse
A local couple explained to us they had never seen this cactus bloom
in all of their years visiting.
They had been coming every day for a couple of weeks knowing it was close to blooming!
As we continued our walk, we came across the
"New Zealand Silver Fern"
The top is green and the underside is silver.
These are not readily seen without looking closely.
The weather was glorious and we had a great day!
